Unresolvable mail address
A copy of your message is being returned to you because one or more of
the addresses you specified could not be recognized as addresses that are
understood by, or reachable from, this system.
Typically this means that a UUCP site you are trying to reach does not exist
in the UUCP maps, or that a domain name does not exist in the DNS, and
therefore cannot receive mail.
Please check your addresses for spelling errors, or consult with your local
postmaster or system administrator.
This is an automatic message.
P.S.: In bizarre circumstances you will see the address report below
rewritten as site.dom!user@%s. This happens when your envelope
address looks like user@site.dom, where site.dom is not a valid
hostname.

I just received a new port replicator (66G3510) with PCMCIA from Netstream
International. I paid $85 + 5$ shipping, the best price I have ever seen
on this. They also have a number of other ThinkPad items batteries, docks,
drives, etc. Check out their web site at http://www.netropia.com/. This
recent purchase was the only experience I have had with them.

I have several 755C TPs on docking stations and the users need SVGA displays
for high-resolution software. Did IBM make an upgrade from the standard VGA
for these, or will I be buying new motherboards?
Any help (and prices) would be appreciated.
Thanx

My 750 - which I really like, despite long years of Macintosh work - is
starting to show signs of advancing age, and I'd like your collective input.
It is now on its third keyboard; one was replaced with the glossier black
keyboard with the no-rub-off letters, and the second was simply defective.
Thank heavens I was part of a no-questions-asked service plan back then. The
trackpoint just died, though, which results in an "8611" error at startup. I
recognize this as a bad keyboard error. So: where can I get a new keyboard?
Do I need one? How hard is it to swap out?
Thanks. Andrew

Message-Id: <manning-9602122258.AA00061464@cssun3>
I have a ThinkPad 755CX with the 800x600 SVGA screen.
It came with OS/2 Warp pre-installed on the C: drive.
I wanted to re-install OS/2 on a logical partition,
so I used the "Diskette Factory" utility to create
the 21-floppy version of OS/2.
When I installed this on a logical partition, all went
well *except* that when I now boot OS/2 from this new
partition, I get a small 640x480 screen display *and*
there's a horizontal line at the tip of the cursor.
It seems as if the wrong video driver is being run.
But I know little about these things!
Can anyone please suggest where I might go from here?
Thanks! -- Joseph

you should have generated all the driver diskettes from the diskette
factory before reinstalling. Now you need to get the driver diskettes
from the bulletin board, and follow the directions in the manual
that came with your TP 755CX for installing the proper video drivers.

Message-Id: <9603130112.AA26639@yogi.LCS.MIT.EDU.LCS.MIT.EDU>
I've been happily using XFree86 3.1.2B on my 760C for about a month
now. However, I just realized this beta version of the X server
(XF86_SVGA) expires at the end of the month. The current beta version
is now 3.1.2D (they seemed to skip C).
The trouble is that I can't seem to get 3.1.2D to work, at least with
the XF86Config I was using with 3.1.2B.
A colleague of mine has had similar problems with 3.1.2D under Solaris
x86.
Has anyone had luck with 3.1.2D? I really hope I can still run X after
the end of the month!

I purchased a jet eye for my desktop (Win 3.1) and I am having no luck
getting
any files transferred. I copied the Tranxit program off the laptop to the
desktop
and I cannot get the The New Window icon to light up. I tried hooking com
port
to com port with Tranxit and still no luck. So the I tried DOS Interlnk
which I have
used on a previous thinkpad and still no luck. Has anyone got this working? I
have posted to a couple of mailing lists and all I get is people telling me
that
they can't get their's working either. Any little bit of info is
appreciated.Thanks

Now I am tring to configure XF86Config to run Linux
on my ThinkPad 760C. But I cannot get a good screen.
Although I had visit famous Linux www sites, I cannot
find one for my machine.
If there is someone who send me working XF86Config file,
I am very happy.
As Don Russell mentioned in an earlier message, you need either 3.1.2a
or 3.1.2b for this machine. He sent a config file for 3.1.2a. Here
is some information about 3.1.2b, which requires a slightly different
config file, according to Hardy:

I have been using the new Beta distribution (a.out format) of XF86 for

The 750 isn't *that* old yet--and it should still be under a full
3-year warranty.
Make IBM stand behind it as they should (and likely will).
