Mine only has 8MB, but I got it early this year and haven't touched the
BIOS (don't know which version it is but it's an old one for sure) and
the V.34 MWave software works fine for me.  In fact, I'd call it better
than average - it almost always connects at 28.8, long command strings
are no problem at all, etc.
