You might want to consider phone line adapters. I bought one I used when 
visiting London from TeleAdapt, Inc., before I left the US on a trip to 
the UK. I think I paid about $30 for it. It worked great, and I was very 
pleased with the service I received. The brochure says that their CIS id 
is 72623,706 and phone 408-370-5105 (FAX: -5110). A message from one of 
their reps indicates that they have an office in London at +44(0)181 233 
3000, and in North Sydney at +61(0)2 9966, with other CompuServe 
addresses. They also list teleadapt@delphi.com and 
http://www.teleadapt.com.
