New Member Self Intro

Hi:

My name is Jim Smith.  I live an work in the Southern California, (San 
Fernando Valley) area.  I am a department manager, (safety, health, 
environmental affairs and security), in a C3I division of an 
aerospace/defense corporation.

I have been using a TP 750C for almost 2 years.  The TP is pretty much as 
it came out of the box, 8MB RAM, 350MB HDD.  There is a 14.4 fax/modem in 
one slot and a Xircom ethernet card in the other.  The company uses Banyan 
Vines as a network operating system.  After a few month of trying to keep a 
desktop PC and my TP in synch vis-a-vis files and programs I gave up the 
desktop and now use the TP as my primary machine without an external 
display.

The only problem I have had in almost 2 years with the TP is a TrackPoint 
malfunction.  The TP went to IBM's Easy Service via FedEx, spent a day 
there, and  a day on the road back to me.  Great service, under warranty, 
and about as hassle free as anything is these days.
