TP755 and Trantor EPP Parallel Port "MiniSCSI" Interface

Has anyone succeeded in getting a Trantor EPP Parallel Port SCSI interface
to work on a Thinkpad 75x at EPP speeds?  I can get it to work only at the
fallback (read "s-l-o-w") bi-directional speed; when I try to force it into
EPP mode (DEVICE=TSCSI.SYS /M08), it no longer recognizes the interface.

I've tried using the PS2 configurator to enable the Parallel port into EPP
mode as LPT2, but this doesn't seem to be a choice for LPT1.  What am I
missing?

(This is under DOS/Win 3.1.  Under Win95 I'm still stuck at a more basic
level:  Win95 recognizes the device, installs some drivers, and after a
reboot or two claims it's working fine, but *never* has it succeeded in
noticing anything on the SCSI bus, namely a hard drive and CD-ROM.)

Any assistance would be appreciated.
