This is peculiar, I am looking at the two screens side by side, and the
IBM screen is far brighter to my eye. In fact it is on the Power book that
I cannot tell any difference between the dual scan and TFT (I know this
because we debated which to buy a while ago, and chose the TFT, but not
on the basis of brightness, where it made no difference but rahter on
the basis of angle of view and speed, where of course the TFT has an
advantage.

Now this of course is for the 755's. THe 701 screen is considerably less
bright, probably to help with the crummy battery in the 701.
