Excuse my momentary lapse of sanity.  I must have been thinking about
mowing the lawn.  Of course the 'U-Turn' causes the battery to be
discharged, in addition to turning off the charging circuit.  I hope I
didn't cause anybody any undo stress. 
I think I'll go mow the lawn now.  I should have enough brain left to at
least follow my path.  Sorry folks ;-)
