That of course is the most important point. Staying at the cutting edge of
Thinkpad technology is VERY expensive. But if you can wait, you can get
great deals. I just helped a friend buy an old model 3xx monochrome TP
for about $800, now that's a REALLY good deal, she was not interested in
color, and basically the machine, keyboard, trackpoint etc, is comparable
to my $6k machine.
