My external keyboard works!

This is just my $0.02 worth: ever since I got my ThinkPad 750 about a
year ago I've used an external keyboard far more than the built-in one. 
First I used one of those y-adapters.  Now I use a PCMCIA port
replicator.  I've *never* experienced this dropped characters problem,
under either DOS/Windows or OS/2.

For the record, I'm using an IBM keyboard (if that's relevant).
