I have been toying with the idea of purchasing a 2 1/2" drive and giving
the upgrade a try. The problem is that there are few firms selling 
"notebook" drives.  I think that in general there are few people willing,
or able, to perform an upgrade on a notebook.

FYI,
I am not looking for any money, but I go through with a drive upgrade the
procedure will become public.
