  Try reading the header of every message that comes through the listserver.
At the bottom, you'll find a line that says:

        Comment: to {un}subscribe, send mail to thinkpad-REQUEST@cs.utk.edu

  This is a "standard" convention -- admin requests to a mailing list should
be sent to "listname-REQUEST@listaddress.whatever"
