RE: ThinkPad: 701 suspend problems

I too have occasional problems, but of a slightly different nature:
My machine sometimes doesn't wake up from a suspend, so I
need to turn it off and on to bring Win 95 back. I think this is
probably related to PCMCIA cards: I have the feeling that
this problem may occur in sessions during which I've
removed or changed a card (I do ask Win 95 to 'Stop' the
card first).

It's not a big deal, but maybe someone out there will track
down this one.

cheers,

Andrew.

I think I've traced the problematic suspend/hibernate to a Windows 95
software incompatibility. I'm still not sure what is causing the problem,
but the suspend/hibernate features work fine when in DOS mode (rather than
Win95). Anyway, thanks for all of the responses. In large part because
noone reported similar problems related to a hardware failure, I became
convinced that the situation was due to software.
