Re: LINUX setup on TP755CD




I also have a 755CD that I run Linux on.  I wrestled with this problem a
(very short) while before I settled on the less elegant method of copying
the base and kernel Slackware disk sets to a dos partition and doing the
inital install from there.  After I had a minimal Linux installation going,
I was able to load the rest of the system off the CD.
If you want to try a full install by swapping the drives, I believe you'll
need a kernel with ATAPI/IDE CD-ROM and APM support compiled in.  I really
don't know if such a boot image exists.
