Re: tp 755cd and 4x cd rom

At the Chicago Comdex I asked an IBM ThinkPad expert about this. He said
that "it should work" but that it is not an IBM supported product because
the 760 version sticks out about 1mm when put into the 755CD. I can't fathom
why they made it a very slightly different size, but that's what they did..??

I can't guarantee that the 4X will work, but that's the word I got when I
asked. If someone actually does get this to work, please post it. I might
still be interested. The cost is about the same as the Panasonic (about
$360), though, clearly the 760 CD is a lot more specialized.
