New phone, email address for Jonathan Berry

As of October 19, 1996, my phone will be
(250) 753-5868
not the same number with a (604) prefix.  If you forget, the
old number should still be good through 6 months into the
changeover.  The change applies to all numbers in BC outside
"the lower Mainland"

since August 4th, I likely haven't seen (and cannot see) it.

School District 68, which provided a free and excellent
text-based system, announced that they would be upgrading /
replacing it "for better service to everyone" in July.  "I
should have guessed" right then and sent a version of this
letter.  They didn't start the project until August, and I
guess the new system has security holes (which the old system
had blocked, if not always elegantly, after several years of
experience), because they have shut down public access.
