Now, as I understand the only relevant thing here is the plug, they are
different in different countries. In fact, the first two links give
contradictory information on this too, namely the plugs are called either
B or D which is obviously not unique. (But notice that the descriptions
of the plugs on these pages do coincide very well.) Maybe this is the
reason why the guys at IBM are confused too. Or perhaps someone would 
like to comment on this more and resolve the problem.
BTW, you also need an AC converter.
