701 and PC Card Services

     I just added a Megahertz 10BaseT PC card to my 701.  I am
     quite confused because EZPlay reports that the card is not
     ready.  However, if I actually load-up the Netware ODI
     drivers, the card (and then my Thinkpad) talks to the
     network.
     
     I suppose that I shouldn't complain if the card is working.
     But is there any good reason why IBM's Card services through
     both DOS and Win 3.11 report the card as "Not Ready"?
