I used a little epoxy on a crack in my lid.  Spread the crack apart,
put a dab of epoxy in, closed the crack, wiped it clean, let it set.
It seems to be holding up pretty well.  I would've liked to have used
black epoxy, but it's still almost invisible.

I doubt the latches are exactly high-stress parts (unless you drop the
computer again :), so epoxy should be good enough.
