I installed win95 on a 755CX various times.  The only way I
could get it reliable was to start with a clean HD (nothing
on it).  Make sure you have the current BIOS for your TP.

Build a boot floppy with whatever drivers you need (CD, etc).
Run fdisk and format the HD.  Boot from floppy.  Install Win95
from CD at DOS prompt.  Then install utilities and Mwave.

That worked and seemed to be stable.  The previous 2 times
with DOS on HD with drivers for CD and DOS MWave never
did work right (even after I removed the DOS drivers and
switched to 32-bit PCMCIA).

What a pain.
