hard drive case for thinkpad 701

i just found a company that will sell hard drive cases for
thinkpads.  the 701 model will cost ~$50, and it will
avail begining of september.  the company's name is 
"ps solutions" and their number is 214-980-2632.  i got
their number from sigma data.

does anybody know another source for hd case for the 701?

as i understand, the thinkpad will take standard 2.5" eide
drive.  is that true?

does anybody know if the 701 supports eide or just plain
old ide?

a 810mb 2.5" eide drive goes for ~$180 in local stores here.
adding up the cost of the case is ~$230.  that's still
way better than sigma's price of ~$625 for a 710m, or ibm's
price of ~$800+
