A bit off topic, but my favorite story with Zenith was the engineering
on their original 286 desktop units. The fan was mounted backwards so
that it drew in air from the back across the power supply, heating it
up nicely and then blew hot air out the front straight in your face!

We were among the firsyt to operate these machines in protected  mode,
and they always overheated in this mode, we had to open up the case and
put a separate stand fan blowing in

Until we finally discovered that we could solve the problem by switching the
fan to blow the right way :-)
