RE: Dock II Questions

Yann, I have a Dock II station for use w/ my 755cx and I love it. I
have an external SCSI ZIP Drive, printer, internal SCSI HD and
internal SCSI CD-ROM connected to it. Along with an expanded keyboard
w/ a TrackPoint it works like a charm. I ran out of money for a good
quality external monitor so I get by w/ the TP's 10.4" TFT screen. The
Dock II Features are:

Speaker-in jacks
Audio out jacks
Headphone jack
stereo speakers
connector for external floppy drive
connector for external keyboard
connector for mouse or other pointer device
parallel port
serial port
SVGA video port
2 ISA adapter card slots
1 1" Drive bay (this is where my CD-ROM is installed)
1 1/2 height bay (this is where my SCSI HD goes)
External SCSI port
2 PCMCIA slots

Installation of internal components is pretty easy. I particularly like
having the SCSI adapter built in... makes adding devices a breeze.
If you plan on using an external monitor you will probably want to buy
the display shelf to rest it on (shelf covers the TP when docked and the
monitor sits on top).

Good Luck

What exactly comes in a Dock II docking station? I'd like to dock my
ThinkPad 701 so I can have access to a CD-ROM drive... Now for $600+ for
a
Dock II, what do you get? Do you have to buy the SCSI CD-ROM drive
extra?

Thanks.
