I complained about the left side of the keyboard being loose when
I pushed on the trackpoint. The new keyboard seemed much softer -
I never mis-hit the left-shift key like I used to. The keyboard
was replaced again recently, and the looseness with the trackpoint
is back but the keyboard is still soft. Try asking to get it
replaced. After all, you paid top dollar for your computer, it
should at least be comfortable to type on.

The keys tend to feel hard if you don't hit them straight on.
You could also try adjusting your typing position.
