I carry a 701 in my bookbag to school everyday, my only regret is that 
things like the floppy and charger when I need them are a pain to carry.
since the 701 is roughtly the size of a notebook (8.5 x 11) it fits 
nicely in a small bag, but the rest just doen't pack anywhere right

when you get down too it, the is little differnce in 4 lbs to 6 lbs 
whencarrying a bag, I would be more concerned with where all the rest of 
the stuff goes, mostly a concern for those of us who have 701s where 
everything else is external
