Re: Linux Sound on IBM Thinkpad

Speaking of sound under Linux... This has been asked many times, but with no
success.

I know that someone in Japan had linux working w/ sound on the old (sigh)
750 series.  We
were told that he was working on licensing agreements with IBM in order to
release the 
code.  This was over two years ago.  Am I the only one that can't afford a
new thinkpad
and would still love to hear it squeak a little?  Is there any new info on this?
