Unresolvable mail address

A copy of your message is being returned to you because one or more of
the addresses you specified could not be recognized as addresses that are
understood by, or reachable from, this system.

Typically this means that a UUCP site you are trying to reach does not exist
in the UUCP maps, or that a domain name does not exist in the DNS, and
therefore cannot receive mail.

Please check your addresses for spelling errors, or consult with your local
postmaster or system administrator.

This is an automatic message.

P.S.: In bizarre circumstances you will see the address report below
rewritten as site.dom!user@%s. This happens when your envelope
address looks like user@site.dom, where site.dom is not a valid
      hostname.

Hi, My name is Alan Sukiennik.
I own a 755CD with 24M of RAM and two HDs - 810Mb and 540Mb.
The 540M drive is being used for Win95 and the 810M drive for Linux CND 1.0
The accessories besides those that come standard are:
3Com 3C589B Ethernet card and US Robotics 28.8 Sportster (at this
time mwave modem is not yet supported by Linux to the best of my
knowledge).

hasta for now....

I don't recall making any system changes, but suddenly my MWAVE modem
under Windows 3.1 has stopped working. Everything works fine under
DOS, but executing mwmwin within mww\modem no longer fires up the modem.
All my sound stuff is toast too. I tried to reinstall MWAVE2 for windows,
but I got a truly informative message saying that I have -1 bytes
remaining on my drive. It does make me worry about disk problems, but
everything else on my drive including Linux seems to be fine. Anyone
have any ideas on this one? I'm really trying to avoid editorial
comments about Windows, but ooooh it's hard.

Cheers,
Eugene Fiume.

Subject: Setup questions
Message-Id: <199602281549.KAA01928@CS.UTK.EDU>

I'll repost my prior question: I have a TP755CD, and need some help with
setup-type questions, which arose in trying to run 11th Hour game in pure
DOS (I otherwise am still using win3.1). I'm a little disappointed in the
paucity of IBM documentation for much of these down-and-dirty setup type
programs:

1. Does anyone know about the command switches for mwave? I'm trying to
understand mwave.bat, and can't tell the difference between "start" and
"on", or what "reconfig" is for, or what "show" and "noshow" do in parameter
2 place. Similarly, what do I need to diddle in mwgames.bat?

2. When and how does one use the ibmadvesa advanced vesa support? I tried
running tpadvesa.exe, but it said it was already running, even though it's
not in autoexec.bat.

3. Should one run dos's power.exe, or is that redundant with those other two
strange autoexec lines of v7320.exe (or something like that) that seem to be
power managers?

4. Has anyone succeeded with running 11th Hour?

5. Does ps2 hfile_c need to be run each time you reboot? I understand it
creates the hard disk memory map for sleep, but the size of it shouldn't
change with each boot.

6. There are other similar arcane lines in the original autoexec.bat which I
hesitate to remove, since there's no documentation.

Thanks.
