LAN Connect Solved

I wrote a few weeks ago about being frustrated that after installing a
LAN card etc. that I could no longer use the suspend & hibernate
functions, plus had to power the machine off and back on every time
I connected or disconnected from the LAN...  Well after tinkering
with dozens of things, I have all the function back.  Including being
able to connect and disconnect from the LAN (as long as I suspend first).
Thanks for all the notes and pointers....
