I only use the Windows Mwave support (I don't use mwave.bat or mwgames.bat) so I can't help you with this one.

Ditto here, I do not use advanced vesa.

I believe the v7320apm.exe you are referring supports power management functions for the Enhanced Video Device/MPEG adaptor only.  If you are running under DOS/Windows 3.x, you should keep the POWER.EXE line in you config.sys.

If you are running under Win95, then you can remove POWER.EXE.

Correct.  You can safely remove this line.  Just remember to refresh the hibernation file if you add/remove memory later.

What lines in particular?  Note that if you are running under Win95, you can *eventually* remove most lines from config.sys, once you replace the DOS mode drivers (CDROM, PCMCIA, etc.) by their Win95 counterparts.  My own config.sys is only three lines long:

device=c:\mww\manager\mwd50430.exe
device=c:\windows\system\v7320mgr.exe
device=c:\windows\system\v7320apm.exe

And my autoexec.bat is not much bigger either:

path c:\windows;c:\windows\command;c:\mww\dll;c:\pkware;
set dircmd=/ogen
doskey /insert del=del $1 /p >nul
