RE: X11 on TP 755 CX

You need a special Western Digital driver (which is only available from IBM) and may not be available for the TP755CX for Linux. Without this driver, you will be stuck with 640 x 480 x 256, or 1024 x 768 x 256 (on an external monitor).

Subject: X11 on TP 755 CX

Hi,
I have a TP 755 CX, 24 Mo RAM, 1,2 Go HD, Mwavw processor, and 800x600 screen.

I am currently installing Linux on that thinkpad. Everythink is running well
except that I don't succeed to run X11 in 800x600. I just run it in 640x480.
I have tried to change some parameters in XF86Config file but it doesn't
work. I think the error is in the Modelines parameter. Can somebody help me ?
