Docking question

I have a 755CS which I would like to purchase a Dock II for.  I plan
on replacing the 755CS with whatever IBM has available at the end of
1996.  I have been off the mailing list since July; any word on
whether IBM will ensure backward compatibility with their current 
docking solutions?
