I am not sure that the volume on this list merits a newsgroup 
just yet.  How many are subscribed to date?  I am sure that the 
popularity of ThinkPads would make for a well used newsgroup, but I 
like the intimacy now.
Another note: IBM's use of "ThinkPad" dates at least to the 1960's 
when little note pads emblazened with "Think" in gold letters were 
doled out.  I sincerely doubt that the name would change any time 
soon.  The number designation, as is already apparent with this 
group, can quickly become dated.
