	some people do have environments which make reading news hard, and some
	people, odd to say, prefer mail lists (they must be people with a lot
	of time on their hands, or they are lonely for email :-)

	anyway, the proper solution is a newsgroup which is interconnected with
	a mailing list, this is quite standard to arrange.

My main objection to a newsgroup comes from the noise level that
would surely result.  But by now there's maybe enough traffic
to warrant it despite the noise.
