} functions working under Linux!  Since I need to boot DOS first to enable 
} 800x600 mode via the PS2 command, I tried running the 'MWGAMES ON' (for 
} soundblaster) and 'MWMODEM ON' (for modem) commands before launching 
} Linux, and they work!  Forgive me if this is common knowledge, but I 
} couldn't find references to anyone else using the ThinkPad's DSP chip 
} under Linux, so I thought I'd share my experiences...

Thanks for your note.  I'm able to send an "AT" to my modem (755CE,
MWAVE) using, for example, kermit or seyon, but whenever I try
something like "ATZ" I get a message like "HOST DRIVER TIMEOUT".

Any suggestions?
