THINKPADS 760 AND 300



According to the PCWeek of 17 July, which is now available on Ziffnet, IBM
will put out two new Thinkpad series this Fall. According to the story, the
Thinkpad 760 will have a 12.1 inch TFT display, a 120 MHz Pentium processor,
and an 84 key keyboard that will tilt; also lithium ion battery, 28.8 K
modem, 810 Mbyte hard disk, and 4x speed CD drive, with price of over
$7,000. Apparently lower priced models also will be offered with 90 Mhz chip. 

The 300 series will have a 2x CD Rom, nickel hydride battery, 486DX4/100
chip, and 10.4 TFT display, and will be priced at somewhere around $3,799.
