sorry, you are absolutely right, the batteries *do* move from a 750C to a 755C. It was when I moved from my 755C to my 755CD that I had to buy new batteries. Sorry for misinformation. At this stage I have owned 700C->720C->750C->755CD->755CX and it is not so easy to keep track of the incompatibilities and when they appear!
