Solaris = Linux + Sound?

My only frustration with Linux on my 750Cs is that the sound still doesn't
work. I'd be willing to pay $99 for the Solaris kernel to get the bells and
whistles.

Has anybody (besides the guy at IBM Japan) had any success getting sound to
work on the 750 (pre-mwave) under Linux?
