   I meant UT1.  Here is a proposal for adding the function
   days-after-J2000.0.  Forget seconds-after-J2000.0.

Here is a proposal for seconds-after-J2000.0 (inspired by Hal):

(seconds-after-J2000.0)					procedure
seconds-after-J2000.0 returns a real number equal to -946684800 plus
whatever time(0) feels like returning on your Unix system that day.
