RE: video camera



Thanks for the input!  I've been talking to Tom Buehler over here at the
graphics lab about this, too.

This camera will be used for capturing a quick picture of a document
before it is scanned in order to provide a way for the user to see that
there is a binding being made between the document input and the audio
input referring to the document.

Do you think we would need a high-end DV camera, or would we make do
with a less expensive one like one of Sony's DRV-TRV series or a
Panasonic?

Hi, i would rather recommend a DV camera, like for eg.
the cheap IBot from Orangemicro, or the PtGrey Dragonfly.
There are also nice cameras from Sony like the DFWSX900.
With such as camera you have a broad range of lenses
to choose from.
