Having been in the same situation a lot myself, I know just what you mean.
Mark me as sympathetic to your desire to wait.

But if you do send them out, you might consider releasing MD5 signature(s)
with the correct copy (in e-mail mail or an accompanying file) so that
it's easy to detect an unmodified version since author+date information
is so transient.
