pipeline enhancements

michael,

good progress on the pipeline and status page. here
are a couple of suggested enhancements:

   1) post or mirror the log to a named link under
               http::/city.lcs.mit.edu/bmg
(ssh in to city, cd /citypub/www/city/bmg
let me know if you have permissions problems.)
if you can have some mechanism where your script
automatically generates the links and stores the
logs persistently, the group can click through
the list and see older logs as well for comparison.

please send the URL for the log you showed us
yesterday as soon as it's posted.

   2) add an ivToVRML step to the pipeline to produce 2D
and 3D vrml files at the back end. (on irix this program
is in /usr/sbin which should be in your path by
default.) ivToVRML is flaky, so should probably be
run only on small inputs (individual floorplans at
      most) for now.

   3) make the logged inventor and vrml success notifications
into clickable links to the generated .iv and .wrl
files respectively. this will make it very easy for
us to share our results with physical plant/facilities
and other users of the 3D models.

note that this will require some thought about file
naming conventions and locations; you may still want
to do the bulk of the work in /scratch, but have your
script deposit the built models in some canonical
      location under http://city.lcs.mit.edu/bmg/... so that
it can be web-served. i'll ask adel to make /citypub
      visible from all graphics machines.

please put these links behind an MIT certificate so
that they will only be served to members of the MIT
      community.

   4) report file sizes for all source and generated files
report time required for fetching or generation
