Title: Principles of Mobile Computing 2001 (POMC'01) in Review

Abstract:

The first annual ACM Workshop on Principles of Mobile Computing was
held in Newport, RI in August, 2001.  The workshop considered key
distributed algorithms in an ad-hoc setting, as well as specialized
techniques for dealing with mobility.  I will give summaries of the
papers presented at the workshop.  A partial list of the papers is
available at http://lsewww.epfl.ch/POMC2001/proceedings.html.  Topics
include group communication, mutual exclusion, multicast, topology
control, and others.
