Rebecca Frankel's Utterly Unremarkable Web Page

This page is here merely to tell people what I'm up to and provide links to a few various and sundry documents that some Rebecca-trivia hunter might concievably care to see. I have always dreamed of making a really exciting web site, but this isn't it.

In particular, the purpose of this page is to provide links to some documents related to a project I did with another student at MIT, Alexey Radul, on generating and viewing all the Archimedean and Platonic solids in four dimensional space. We generated these objects systematically using knowledge of their symmetries. Alexey wrote a master's thesis on the subject: The Symmetriad: A Journey of Discovery through the land of the Polychora. In addition, I wrote an illustrated essay describing these polychora from an aesthetic point of view.
