These are just some preliminary thoughts for the P3P protocol and syntax group. 1) There are four very separate problems that are intertwined, and we should be careful to be clear about which one(s) we are addressing: a) a communications protocol for reaching an agreement binding a service to a specific set of practices for the duration of an agreed upon delivery of personal information. NO, another working group. c) a mechanism for configuring a user agent to behave according to the user's preferences, and a means of specifying bargaining behavior. NO. d) a mechanism for configuring a service to behave according to the vendor's practices, and a means of specifying bargaining behavior. NO. e) generation by user agent of Unique ID upon request.
