The collection of insects made by the late Henry Edwards, consisting of about 300,ooo specimens of all orders and well represented in large numbers of individuals and long suites of specimens, from all parts of the world. Is particularly rich in Pacific coast of North America species. A large number of Lepidoptera from this region were described by Mr. Edwards and his types are in the collection.
