Although I left Google in early December to return to MIT to finish my Ph.D. dissertation, I have received a formal offer letter to return as a full-time employee (as a software engineer) as soon as the doctoral dissertation is completed in June 2007. Before that, I worked in industry (at Transmeta Corp.) for several years before returning to graduate school to finish this last degree, so I've worked with a slew of engineers and a handful of technical writers. I also worked occasionally with a couple other tech writers (viz., Nina and Joanna) while interning this last summer and fall in the Google Enterprise Engineering group. I mention all this to help you evaluate the context and credibility of the enclosed feedback. If you need more background info on me, my curriculum vitae is linked at the bottom of the review feedback. Beyond that, Ricardo Jenez (rrj@google.com) and Joe Marshall (jmarshall@google.com) can personally vouch for me. That being said, Kevin G. Lim is an outstanding technical writer. She is bright, clever, creative, fiercely competent, full of energy and enthusiasm, and she has a delightfully positive attitude. In a very short time, she has made herself an indispensable member of the Enterprise team. The enclosed feedback elaborates on these and other accolades. Sincerely, Michael R. Blair or Enterprise Engineering intern - Summer and Fall 2006 - MIT Ph.D. Candidate (All But Dissertation: June 2007 expected exit) Cc: Kevin G.
