Each of the subdirectories here contains the mail archives for the
ThinkPad mailing list for a particular year.  Inside the directories,
the mail is broken up into time periods of one or two months.  The
date ranges are indicated by the file names.

Files stored here are in two forms.  Files with a suffix of ".txt" are
text files encoded in unix text format.  Such files should be
retrieved using the "text" or "ascii" mode of your FTP program.  Files
with a suffix of ".zip" are ZIP archives created with InfoZIP.  These
ZIP files are meant to be un-zipped on a DOS, OS/2, or Windows
machine, and any text files that are contained within are encoded in
DOS text format.

In most cases a text file with a ".txt" suffix is also stored as a ZIP
file.  If you are using a unix machine, get the ".txt" file, and if
you are using a DOS machine, get the ".zip" file.
