Help, loadlin doesn't work anymore!
Maybe someone can help me. I used to boot my 755CD into linux using
loadlin so I could enable the sound support. A while back I did something
(I can'tr remember what) and loadlin doesn't boot correctly.
after I type loadlin, the kernel loads OK but the machine hangs during the
APM messages. I then have to power off and back on again.
I tried rebuilding a new kernel, it didn;t help.
I updated the bios, and the computer now spits out a bunch of hex codes
continuously during the same apm messages.
I'd like to get the sound working again, I kinda miss it.
could it be some sort of memory address problem? (having the dos drivers
loaded in some place they shouldn't be?)
My setup:
TP755CD - 75MHz Pentium
40 Megs RAM
1.2G HD - 850M linux -- 350M dos
RedHat 3.0.3
kernel 2.0.0
Thanks!
