760ED hangs on CD/floppy hot-swap?

  Okay, this has been discussed before, but I didn't pay much attention
because my 760CD with Win95 hot-swaps the CDROM & Floppy with no difficulty.
However, I'm setting up a 760ED for someone else and it doesn't work
properly.  The symptoms are that if I boot with the CDROM and remove it, the
system hangs. It won't sspend at this point either; if I lift the keyboard
or hit Alt+F4, it thinks about it and finally bleats.

  What was the final resolution of this problem?  This 760ED shipped with
Win95 preinstalled.  Thanks.
