Thanks for the reply, Terry.  
Unfortunately you don't win  a pint of Guinness on this occasion.  

The Video Controller looks quite happy - reporting that Enhanced Video is
enabled, the Video In Connector is selected and the Video Capture IRQ is 9.
 Everything LOOKS fine.
