The Wetsuits 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 are simply different sizes. The 3.0 is the smallest, and 
fits the 701 fine, snug (that's the point), with room to spare in the slim front pouch 
for the 701's disc drive. 

One minor caveat: the Wetsuit is designed to be attached to a portable PC's keyboard, 
but the design doesn't allow for the 701's butterfly keyboard. All this means is that 
you're using the Wetsuit as a removeable carrying case instead of as the fancy 
beach-quality exoskeleton it was designed to be.

Silicon Sports, the Wetsuit's manufacturer, also makes a complementary softshell 
disc-holder that happens to be the *perfect* size for the 701's power pack and disc 
drive cable. 

As William Gibson wrote, the street has its own use for things.
